5 Margarita Recipes to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is May 5th and is the perfect day to celebrate with signature margaritas. From peach sriracha to mango yuzu, we’re turning up the flavor to help you elevate your drink menu. All of our recipes use Island Oasis shelf-stable margarita mix, which is crafted with agave nectar and nothing artificial. We use real limes for a burst of fresh flavor in every refreshing drop. Peach Sriracha Margarita

Combine the taste of sweet, juicy peaches from Island Oasis Peach Mix with the smoky, chili-infused flavor of sriracha for a boldly delicious peach sriracha margarita.

  • 5 fl. oz. Island Oasis Shelf-Stable Peach Mix
  • 1 fl. oz. Island Oasis Margarita Mix
  • 5 fl. oz. water (for dilution)
  • 1 fl. oz. tequila
  • Short squeeze (about ½ tsp. of Sriracha)
  • Directions: Shake ingredients with ice; strain over clean ice and serve. Garnish with peach wedge, jalapeno wheel or lime. Rim with salt.

Watermelon Jalapeño Margarita

Refreshing with a hint of heat, our watermelon jalapeño margarita includes ice cubes made with Island Oasis Watermelon Mix for added fun and flavor!

  • 5 fl. oz. blanco tequila
  • 2 thins coins jalapeño, muddled
  • 4 fl. oz. Island Oasis Margarita Mix, diluted
  • 4 – 5 Island Oasis Watermelon Mix ice cubes
  • Island Oasis Watermelon ice cube recipe: Combine 1 carton of Island Oasis Watermelon Mix with 1 quart water, stir, divide and fill amongst 3 - 4 silicone ice cube trays.
  • Directions: Shake and strain over Island Oasis Watermelon Ice Cubes. Rim with lime and smoked salt.

Mango Yuzu Margarita

Add a touch of smoky and fruity flavors to a classic margarita with our mango yuzu recipe. We use mezcal instead of tequila and add yuzu sake for a hint of new age citrus.

Blood Orange Margarita

The blood orange margarita combines Island Oasis Margarita Mix with DaVinci Gourmet Blood Orange Syrup, which offers a juicy sweet balance of crisp tartness and slight grapefruit flavor.

  • 5 fl. oz. blanco tequila
  • 4 fl. oz. Island Oasis Margarita Mix, diluted
  • .5 fl. oz. DaVinci Gourmet Blood Orange Syrup
  • Directions: Shake and strain over ice. Garnish with charred half-moon of Toro blood orange.

Charred Poblano Salsa

Get your appetizer menu in on the Cinco de Mayo fun! We use our margarita mix to add fresh lime flavor to smoky poblano peppers and bright tomatillos for a delicious salsa.

  • 6 tomatillos husks, removed and halved
  • 2 poblano chilies, halved and seeded
  • 1 bunch scallions, trimmed
  • Vegetable oil, for drizzling
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup tequila
  • ½ tsp. chile powder
  • 3 fl. oz. Island Oasis Margarita Mix
  • Directions: Broil tomatillos, chilies, and scallions on lined baking sheet drizzled with oil, 5 minutes per side or until charred. Add charred vegetables to blender with tequila, chile powder, salt and pepper, and Island Oasis Margarita Mix. Add more salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with tortilla chips.
