Frozen Blackberry Basil Margarita


A bold, berry–bright frozen margarita that marries juicy blackberries with citrus–forward margarita mix and a delicate elderflower lift. Fresh basil adds a modern, culinary edge that shines on warm–weather and patio menus.

Makes: 14 oz.

Ingredients:

1 cup ice
5 ounces Island Oasis Shelf Stable Margarita Mix
5 frozen or fresh blackberries
1 ounce silver tequila
½ ounce St. Germain
2–3 fresh basil leaves

Instructions:

Step 1 Rim a large margarita glass with lime and margarita salt.
Step 2 Combine ice, margarita mix, blackberries, tequila, St. Germain, and basil in a blender.
Step 3 Blend until smooth.
Step 4 Pour the mixture into the rimmed margarita glass.
Step 5 Top with a couple fresh blackberries and a sprig of basil & Enjoy!

Extra Twist:

Make it non-alcoholic by eliminating the tequila.
For a high-octane version, add ½ shot each of vodka and clear rum alongside the tequila.
